Well, that is a very good point.

But it doesn't ever seem to be used as the reason why no-one in England practises pelanties. It's always "you can't practise pelanties, stupid", not " practising pelanties isn't important to us."

I think I've mixed up my practices and practises there. Noun/verb thing? I can never remember which is which. I need a handy mnemonic, like I use for effect/affect.
