Depends on whether he's just a second choice or competing with Szczęsny

It's a risk. I was saying the other week that in the end Schwarzer got quite a few games for Chelsea this season, which could have put Ruddy in the WC squad if he'd gone there last summer, but it's pure chance really as he hasn't been pushing Cech for no. 1 status (injuries aside). Warming the bench as a keeper must be pretty damn frustrating. I can't see Ruddy wanting to do it.
