I just think it could / should have been handled better

As others have said, bit amateurish to say they'll announce the next manager by X date if they didn't know for sure that they could.
As it is, people were literally counting down all week to the expected announcement yesterday only for nothing to come out.
Not the end of the world of course, but a bit na?ve on the part of the Club.
