We'll have no way of knowing

... how good some of our current players actually are. Clearly Fer and RVW have some pedigree, yet by the time Hughton had finished with them they looked awful - Fer seemed to move like he was wading in knee-deep water and RVW looked hopeless. Tettey? Howson? Redmond? Hooper?

I kinda hope we get to find out. I'm not a fan of RVW by any means, but I even daydream of him having a great season under a manager who still has his frontal lobes.
