While I agree that the Hughton and Gunn situations were nothing alike

It must be considered that Gunn's record in the championship was slightly better than Roeder's. So while it didn't make a difference, it does say a lot that a man who was lambasted as being the worst NCFC manager of all time by many actually didn't do any worse than Glenn, despite having similar resources to work with.

The problem wasn't sacking Roeder, the problem was failing to bring in a good experienced manager who would have kept us up (thankfully it didn't matter in the end due to Lambert). So as Pants alluded to the board definitely has to take blame for repeating the same mistakes, although I don't agree with him about the fans having to cop it as well because many (including myself) were correct to suggest that Hughton wasn't working out and should have been sacked in the summer of 2013, even as far back as March 2013.
