Don't think BT were ever going to pay out..

I think the contract has a max no of games per team and they can go over this if all SPFL clubs agree (for no fee). I don't think BT were ever expecting to pay money and were very surprised Hibs said no. I know BT left it as late as poss to agree it so they were keen to show it however.

There was more discussions about limiting the potential crowd rather than getting more cash being an issue from what I heard.

It was probably a bit of both sides thinking the other would give in but clearly they both got it wrong.
