The shift in fan aspiration is interesting. When we had Lambert and were

watching free flowing attacking football every week then our fans would sneer at, for example, Pulis' Stoke side. Fans would regularly declare that they'd rather we went down than watch that dross every week blah blah blah.

Now we ARE down then lots of us seem to want to return at all costs - Malky's football is hardly easy on the eye and several fans have mentioned Big Sam who is obviously a hoofball merchant too. I don't think that one of these appointments would appease the masses long term - sure, one of them may well get us up, but I can see the day that we'd be calling for their head for not entertaining us enough
