I remember his Newcastle team beating Villa 6-0 for instance. And if the goals from set pieces hadn't dried up this year (we scored a ton last year so that clearly isn't Hughton's fault) and we hadn't missed a bunch of sitters in several crucial games we'd have scored easily enough for a mid-table finish.
I know scapegoating is easy, especially on t'internet, but trying to blame all this on one person is just reducing any analysis to the level of vindictive farce.
We have had more shots per game this season than Palace, Stoke, West ham, Villa, Hull, Fulham and Cardiff. We have scored more goals from open play than Hull, Fulham, Sunderland, Palace and Cardiff.
We have attacked quite enough and created enough chances to stay up easily, We haven't taken the f***ers though and our set piece delivery has been terrible. That's caused overwhelmingly by players' execution not manager's tactics (even though those have at times clearly been wrong)
