Tan went on to be proven right though, of course. The idiocy of an egotistical megalomaniac with zero understanding of football whatsoever is FAR more important than the reality...
The reality is that Malky did a great job at Watford; then a fantastic one at Cardiff. He inherited a notorious bunch of bottlers; he took them up. Up to the top flight for the first time in decades and decades. Once there, he looked like keeping them up - but no, apparently this wasn't good enough for his idiot owner, or it would seem, idiot Norwich fans either.
Hughton? Did great with Newcastle and Birmingham: credit to him. But personality wise, him and Malky are chalk and cheese; understanding of this club wise, him and Malky are chalk and cheese; and in terms of galvanising us and getting us pulling together again, he's pretty much the perfect choice. His track record clinches the argument.
