perhaps there were no chants of Hughton Out, but there was a very negative, or at least an unsupportive atmosphere.

Things like ridiculous cheering for Becchio, or sarcastically applauding or cheering passages of play. Lots of abusive comments aimed at individual players. None of that contributes to good performancfes.
