Yes, people rejoiced becasue Hughton was sacked. And when did the crowd 'turn'? Not until pretty much our very last chance of staying up. There was a fair acceptance that Hughton going so late was not going to work, but a final burst of optimism that Adams might get the dead cat bounce we needed. In reality though, the cat had been dead too long.
