Exactly it. Hughton's real failings have been on the transfer front. I suspect

the reason for this season's turgid football is in fact rather different to last season's reason, i.e. last season he thought that our attack wasn't PL standard, this year he thought he was buying quality but rapidly realised that, without the support players he was after, our attack was even more toothless. So, back to the 0-0 & occasional 1-0 type plan. Fail.
