Maybe, just maybe, the following might happen....

.. the 'star' players of the squad (make your own mind up on that), will all get togeather in a pre-match hug type thing and say to each other;
Right, we have got ourselves in this mess and by god we will get out of it. We owe it to ourselves, our families, the club itself, but most importantly our bank accounts. We will stay and fight and win. Oh yea and the fans, forgot them!'.
