Thing with Pardew is he has the opposite to the Hughton effect

Hughton is a nice bloke so got away with being a substandard manager for longer than he should.

Pardew is clearly a c**t so fans take a dislike to him even if he's actually doing ok.

That said they have been awful for the second half of this season but i think thats more a symptom of how pointless being a mid table prem club can be for a club of that size. The likes of us, Swansea and Stoke will put up for it because we are just delighted not to be fighting relegation. For clubs like Newcastle they are stuck in this zone where they are not really at threat of relegation and feel like they should be challenging for more but they just know that they can't. They've been on the beach since about January. Practically the only team who have made them look good is us!
