Houghton for the dour, one paced unadventurous football he played, saying we overachieved last year is ambiguous, we did in our final league position yes, but that masked the fact we were properly in the relegation mix until we beat 2 teams who didn't press us at all and had nothing to play for. All managerial decisions are gambles to a point yes, but we went into this run of games under Adams on terrible run of form, the strongest argument , IMO, is that Houghton should've gone in December/ January to give a new man time dabble in the transfer market and work with the players.
You can justifiably point a finger at the board , yes, as we fell bewtween two stools in January, is we didn't sack him, but we certainly didn't back him either , in the transfer market.
That said,McNally is only human, his dad died and that may have clouded his judgement at a crucial time for us, it must be remembered, though, that he saved us from the brink of administration, it must also be remembered, and i don't' give a toss whether people view this a "little Norwich" syndrome, that relegation is part and parcel of supporting NCFC, i don't expect people to be happy about. but we should be realistic.
