I think it's a lot about momentum and runs of form as well

Snodgrass isn't struggling in front of goal now, because he's taking his chances and is full of confidence - same as Hooper was earlier in the season.

When a striker misses a couple of chances, the pressure grows even more with each chance until they score. I don't think the manager's words in the press have as much of an impact, as the pressure a player will put himself under.
