Not really sure what you mean by motivation

we had a good record at home - so he obviously motivated them well there, and we generally pulled out good performances when it mattered most - so he wasn't hopeless at it.

A bigger weakness was struggling to change tactics in game - but that is more tied into his approach of organising the team and preparing them methodically throughout the week - not so easy to change mid-game.
