I think we had tactics under Hughton

he generally set the team up to be well organised, and we usually looked very solid at home - and alright away from home until we conceded, then we often capitulated.

Arguably, what cost us was trying to adopt more attacking tactics away from home, which started following a lot of discontent after the bore draws away to Palace and Sunderland. Since then we've lost every game away - through a combination of poor defensive errors and missing many good chances - not necessarily poor tactics.
