So all this nonsense from our regular Scummers could be over by this weekend...

...nevermind their final weekend the week after.

Mathematically speaking, Reading killed off any faint hopes Boro had of scraping into the play-offs by beating them tonight.

Another win for Reading on Sat (versus 19th placed Donny) and that rules out Watford, Bournemouth and realistically Blackburn who'd have to make up a 7 goal deficit (as it stands) and then hope all above them lost their last game.

Fail to win on Sat and that rules out Ips**t and Forest (if Reading win).

Only Brighton could survive a Reading win if they only draw against Yeovil on Friday night, but then they'd obviously need to win their last game and hope Reading lost theirs. They're both on +12 too, so there's the real fight for 6th.

QPR & Wigan on +15. Derby on +30(!), so I think they'll have too much fire power come Wembley.
