People will have opinions on matters and they will more often than not base those opinions on their own experiences. And i don't think it is idiotic to think that fan behaviour/culture or even the culture amongst fans of certain of the bigger clubs played some part in what happened that day. That's not the same as saying it was the fans fault or even close to being the main cause. Its just acknowledging the fact that these type of catastrophic events are caused by a multitude of factors. I think the only idiotic stance is one that does not recognise that and tries to wholly apportion blame to one individual or organisation when its normally not that straight forward.
There is an inquest going on which involves all of these issues being looked at by the coroner and a jury. Their decision will no doubt help shed some light on what opinions are or are not "idiotic."
