Lennon's a proud man, and no doubt the constant "He's never been promoted/ won anything /done anything that my nan couldn't do in that league" would get to him.

He's got a good relationship with McDithery, if he's promised funds and a free hand, it might be enough. I can't see any other Premier League club taking him. He comes to us in the Champs, takes us up, another season or two, and he can go to a "Big Club".
