I think 'looking to play for a point' is a statement open to argument, to be honest.

It's far more, 'have what we hold, don't risk anything going for the win.' We so rarely risked anything under Hughton, and when we did, in my opinion we weren't 'clever' enough to do so - and promptly get hammered. I always think back to Everton last year - the players clearly weren't playing to his tactics at the end - he admitted as much. With hindsight, warning bells rang loud and clear at that point.
