Well said Sir.
If just one person died needlessly through the incompetence/neglect/crass attitude etc of the authorities (a hospital, a dcotor, a teacher or social worker) the world and his proverbial wife are, rightfully, up in arms.
This is 96. 96!!
It appears, more and more so, that the prevailing attitude towards the Liverpool supporters at the time by certain people in power and Government was "...f**k 'em, they're only football fans. Who cares?".
If one of the bloody Queen's Corgi's had been killed due to neglect and incompetence heads would have rolled and people would have been sacked on the spot.
The families involved and their supporters, the club and most of football know it went above being an accident, that it needn't have happened and peoples actions on the day contributed towards it. Then, on top of that, said people in charge and responsible tried to pretend it wan't down to them and pin it on those who were killed.
Massive cover up. And those involved aren't having it. They should be supported all the way rather than abused because later on today, tomorrow, next week, whenever, more people might needlessly due somewhere because of bungling-and the people who are affected by that will need to see that, if you push hard enough, you get results and, we hope, justice.
More to the point, those who govern our lives will ttry just that little bit harder to ensure these things don't happen in the first place as they'll know if they do then folk will be after them.
Sorry, I originally just wanted to acknowledge BF for his post and I went off on one myself.
