I hate the terms interim and temporary. Every manager is employed until the board decide they're not anymore, regardless of contract length. Every manager is in charge until the next guy comes along. How he gets paid is his own business, whether it's a 'rolling', season-by-season, 18mth, 3yr or whatever contract. If it goes tits up it'll get scrapped, if it goes well it'll get extended. The board haven't used the term caretaker either so they're not expressly saying he's filling in 'for now' (ie. 'til the end of the season) to give them time to get a 'permanent' guy in. Like a permanent guy is ever actually permanent. 'Got the job full-time' that's another. Adams will be working full-time to keep us up. I'm not thinking about who the next guy could be when the current guy hasn't even managed a game yet. If we go down then whether he remains in charge will be based on how they felt he affected things ie. fighting spirit, more attacking play, more goals etc and whether they then think he could get us back up, not 'oh in his 5 game contract he failed to keep us up so it's on to the next guy'. Likewise, if he succeeded in keeping us up they won't then go 'ah brilliant thanks but your 5 game contract is up now and we'll be moving on to a 'proper' manager'. It'll be based on a brilliant turn around against tough opposition and precious little time and so let's see him continue his good work.
