if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the A-Team

In true A-Team fashion these last 5 games are all about cobbling something together from whoever is around and hoping that it's enough to see us through. No-one with any real pedigree is going to taint their CV with a potential relegation - and that's probably been our problem (and Hughton's saving grace) for the past few months.

It may well be that Adams can put together a scratch team of former players/fan favourites, and that this will generate enough of a feel good factor to get us over the line, but we'll be doing it on a wing & a prayer.

It's undoubtedly the right decision but the Board has f**ked up the timing - this should have happened long ago.

Adams may or may not have the ability to keep us up, but it doesn't feel like he's been given enough time to have a fair crack at it and to put together a backroom team to help him out. I can only hope and pray that he was given the unofficial nod a while ago and that he has been busy preparing in the background, working out how he'll use the players we have, planning tactics etc.

For a Board/CEO that made all the right noises about always having a Plan B manager in mind, it all seems a little lastminute.com. I wonder if we'll ever know the truth behind this season and whether any of the managers that have been appointed to other teams recently were actually our Plan B, but that we were simply beaten to the draw.

But I bloody loved the A-Team, and they always won, so we should be fine. But I am pretty sure that this isn't how McNally thought the plan would come together...
