and Martin's one of those. It's easy (though not necessarily cheap) for fans to "care" - it doesn't take much sustained effort to go to a football match and moan and b***h at the players or the manager, whose livelihood it is.

But I saw no lack of effort or commitment. I also saw an acceptable level of personal skill in a lot of the play. The problem is the same as it's always been against sides we set out to attack - we fail through a lack of organisation. We're good at home against the better sides, when we generally keep a rigid defensive formation. Admittedly, we can't handle individuals like Suarez or Aguero, but most teams can't.

Fair play to you - you were the first (IIRC) to say Hughton out, but you haven't joined the witch hunt.
