Longevity by virtue of doing "just enough" in the must win games. Yes Roeder was a c**t but because of that once it went wrong it was always likely to end quickly. also despite his personality issues he was not an inherently negative football manager.
Hughton's regime has been line death from 1000 cuts. He has sucked the life from the club and reinstalled the little Norwich philosophy and we've all been able to see it for some time. Then, just when you think his data may be numbered he scrapes a win against some sh*t team at home and the whole cycle starts again. In the meantime he just carries on being "decent" and "nice" whilst dropping a few clever PR comments that just make it harder for us to sack him whilst his media buddies also big him up. Any hatred for him stems form this and the fear that it will just keep going until we are relegated.
I don't hate Chris Hughton as a manager but I can't recall many managers in my supporting lifetime who have provoked such feelings of frustration in me. It all just feels like such a massive waste and for what? Because we don't want to sack a "nice" man?
