Its not as if we have been in the relegation zone all season. There is a good chance we will go down, but also a good chance we will stay up. He took the gamble that there was no one better (if it was his decision) that whoever replaced Hoots would not do any better and you can only appoint who is available. they also cant buy anyone.
At times we have looked safe according to journos and bookies and its clear that he was holding on until the close season to then act. The recent decline has been bad and some say predictable but we are still 5 points clear and a draw at Fulham would mean that we would be effectively 6 pts clear with 4 games to go. Fulham fans would swop with us.
What he has done is got us from L1 and edge of bankruptcy to Prem and debt free. IF we go down we are still in a far better position than when he came.
Yes we are all gutted and disappointed but get some perspective... and those asking for adams are just nuts -Gunn anyone?
