You'd look at the in-game ratings, and they'd have 5 out of 10, 4 out of 10... so you'd take them off, and the subs would get 3 or 2. Then you'd think "who the f**k do I pick in the next match?"
That's what today felt like. For whatever reason (style of play, general lack of teamwork, chronic predictability), I don't know what), things are so f**ked now that whenever he makes a sub, it gets worse. And if he takes off the s**t Elmander or drops the even more s**t Van Wolfswinkel, Becchio is EVEN MORE SHIT THAN THAT.
It has to be the management team. For every single striker and most attacking players at this club to go to such total horses**t says it must be something more than them. Even Hooper: unlucky today with that effort, but he's struggled desperately for months and months.
And when you can't depend on anyone to score a goal, the players lose faith in themselves and their heads go down. And the manager panics and makes changes in the name of "doing something". But he can't make any kind of positive impact during the game - and more than likely, the players know it.
It's all very sad. I'm not angry; just sad. I think it looks iike this now: win at Fulham (mind those flying pigs) and we stay up. Fail to win at Fulham and we go down. We're not mathematically relegated tonight; but after a performance as bad as that, and with the fans throwing missiles onto the pitch by the end, we're morally relegated for sure.
