The sanctions vary, but this would be such an egregious example there's no way they would be permitted to compete.

The domestic rules are much weaker in the EPL though. The Football League are more serious about it. Leicester, for example, face either a huge fine (fair play tax) or a transfer embargo from January 2015 if they don't reduce their losses massively.

We seem to be one of the few clubs actually taking it seriously. It remains to be seen if we're just being naive.
