As someone who used to stand in the Riverend in the 60's

the football was depressing, no ambition from the board, attendance down to 9 - 10,000, standing is not as good fun as it is being claimed. And now we seem to be returning to those dark old days. No wonder us old middle aged, middle class farts are complaining.
