I wasn't against his appointment but it was interesting that the club were so confident he could take us to the next level when he had less than 1/2 a season of management experience in the Prem. OK so there is a lot of coaching experience at Spurs but that is not the same thing.
I always wondered if they got him in with half an eye on a possible relegation last season. He did an excellent job at the bouncing back bit with Newcastle and Birmingham.
However, if we went down now they would clearly have to deal with a great deal of supporter discontent if they were to stick with him.
