I don?t use the ticket offices as I top up on-line or at the machine. There?s just one exception ? and that?s if I have a refund voucher so this needs to be done manually at present. And I understand there are steps on the way to automate the refund process direct to Oyster Card during the summer. I?d be interested to know what percentage of passengers actually do use the ticket offices, will be very small Id? guess
There?ll still be a need for staff at stations, but surely they?ll need to be deployed different as the way they will be doing their jobs will change.
