I finished Boardwalk Empire s4 at the weekend - spoilers

Best season yet in my opinion - a big improvement on season three and the cartoon evil of Gyp Rosetti.

The death of Richard Harrow was beautifully done and genuinely upsetting - the Chalky White storyline was as good as any across the four seasons.

And as ever, the whole thing is just so unbelievably gorgeous looking.

After season three, I think I would have said that the Returned is just about my favourite thing on TV. But Boardwalk is now definitely my number one again.
