Not sure that it is accurate

I read that a few days ago, and thought "But Bellars has always been a cocky little gobs**te, long before he went to Newcastle...AND a bloody good footballer"

The question is, would he be as good if he wasn't...and I suspect the answer is no. It's his edge, the thing that allows him to perform in a high-pressure business. He's always needed to be handled a little differently, but if you do so and get him on side and working with you, he's a fantastic player. However if you combine him with a self-obsessed authoritarian cockbadger like Souness, it's going to be a disaster. No surprises there.

As for the rest of it, he's probably right. These young lads are in a seperate environment from the rest of us and some of them are bound to take advantage if no-one ever tells them "no".
