Say, for the sake of argument, Worthington did decide that the best way to adhere to his much vaunted "honesty" was to tender his resignation, were he to write that letter to Mr Munby, what are the chances, do you think, that the board wouldn't accept it anyway? "No, Nigel, you're the mann to dig us out of this hole."
