Some damning statistics - ( a long blub - sorry)

God I am depressed today. I can't help but reflect upon my latest wasted journey - this time to the rather spartan looking New Den.

I have a home season ticket - and try to go to as many away games as I can afford. Last season I managed 8 - so far this season I have racked up 5. A total then of 13 over the last year and a bit.

On the basis that each of these games costs me ?40 (ticket + travel + awful fast food) each time that means I have spunked the best part of ?520 following my beloved Canaries in this period.

For this not inconsiderable outlay I have been rewarded with the following.

Matches: 13
Won: 0 (yes - zero)
Drawn: 4
Lost: 9

Matches: 13
Goals for: 9
Goals against: 31

Simply pathetic stuff. I do not doubt that there are many of you here with even worse records than this. And yet I will be there at Coventry. Why? Why - when I can feel guilty for even for a second wishing that I hadn't gone last night - can these 'professional' footballers apparently feel such little pride for their own performance and reputation that they can barely raise a whimper against the worst side in the league?

I simply do not know what to say any more. I am bored stiff of watching us play. We must be the dullest - most pointless side in the league. Yesterday we played some of the worst football I have ever seen from a Norwich side - with no ambition other than to hoof it to our two big strikers. Simply pathetic.
Where was our so called 6'2" of midfield muscle when we needed him most? It suddenly occured to me late on yesterday that I hadn't seen Etuhu touch the ball in the entire 2nd half.
How are we destroying Dean Ashton? It is so sad to watch him now.
Ditto Huckerby.
Andy Hughes is the most depressing footballer I have ever seen as he sympolises all that Worthington has come to trumpet. Work rate and honesty should be a given - that is only 10% of a good player/team. Where is the quality?

I could go on and on all day but what is the point. The reality is he must go. We know they can't afford to sack him. The decent think would be for him graciously accept the situation and tender his resignation. In my opinion that would show real 'honesty.'

If Worthington goes now he will get another decent job. We cannot ignore what he did for three years. A new fresh challenge and I don't doubt he will do well. But if he persists here and drags us down further into the mire - he may do irreversible damage to his credibility.

Please Nigle - do the decent thing.

My apologies for boring you all silly.
