Debate this please. What is the true ambition of our board?...........

I ask this as i have my doubts about whether our board REALLY do want NCFC to become an established premeirship club.

The lack of a transfer kitty given to Nigel in the summer fuels my doubts. If we really do want to become an established Prem club surely a more generous kitty should have been given to Nigel to allow him to bring in the quality we needed to gain promotion again?

A guy i sit next to at the ground told me he went recently to some forum where David Sheepshanks was a guest, and although i did not get precise details as to what the event was or how this debate or question came about Sheepshanks knew that there were Norwich fans in the room where he was asked a question about Norwich and there finances and ambition and he basically made some comment like " well Sheffield Utd who have been in the championship for years spent ?3 million this summer and look where they are whilst Norwich have just earned some ?18 million from a season in the prem and have just been relegated with a ?6 million parachute payment and look where they are, that is all i need to say".

The guy i sat next too said that if Ipswich had just been relegated from the prem like us you can be damned sure that they would have spent more on players. Sure i know Ipswich were in administration but i really feel that the lack of a transfer kitty given to Nigel in the summer shows just how unserious they are about getting back to the prem.

I think our board will be quite happy for us to finish midtable. Of course they will never publically admit this but why else would they back Worthy so ardently and given him such a paltry transfer kitty in the summer?

It is very sad but i definitly feel now that the "togetherness and happy days" feeling that has surrounded the club for the last 4 years or so has gone. I think that there are a significant number of fans who are questioning the boards ambition, and there persistent undying loyalty to Worthy and this will result in fewer season ticket renewals in March.

Ashton will be off if not in January then definitely at the end of the season if we don't get promoted, and can you honestly see us doing that?

Sure we won yesterday but the next six games will reveal once and for all just what our destiny is this season. Struggle in these games and be lanquishing in the lower half of the table come Xmas then it could well be bye bye Ashton and Green in January and the end of any hopes of signing Davenport.

You may think that i am overreacting but for me the next 6/7 games could be of massive importance to the long term future of this football club.

If you managed to read all that well done, and please give your thoughts.
