Puzzling!

Were the two right back signings in the summer bad ones, or is one or both injured? Can Flem not fill in because he is destined for central defence?

Is the new signing cover for Davenport, in which case he will be here only a week or so longer than the Spurs player! Is Shackle less fit than we believe, or completely out of favour?

And why for just one month? It doesn't cover the busy Christmas/New year period. Are the purse strings so tight that we cannot efford more?

If all goes to plan, i.e. no further injuries, the newcomer might play one or two games!
