I live in Valencia - it's a great city

not really like Barcelona, because there are not many 'attractions' that you must see, but it's got a great atmosphere and is very laid back.

The old town area (el carmen) is good for wandering around and if you like historic buildings.

The city of arts and sciences is impressive to look at (but the museums themselves aren't very good) and the beach/port area is superb.

For the best food/drink - head to either Calle Salamanca (food) or the area around Plaza del Cedro (drink).
