Nope, not a suasage for me. Consensus seems to be a pretty weak vintage. Although prices have come down, most seem to think they're still rather bullish considering the wines.

If you have your own cellar I guess some 'drinking' wines might make sense. However, it's always worth looking to see what is available in other (possibly better) vintages at the around the same price.

En Primeur has to confer some real advantage to make it worth tying up money so far in advance. There is little to suggest that the same wines won't be available at release price (or quite possibly lower) in 3 years time.

Some love for Denis Durantou's portfolio on wine pages...
