I feel a bit sorry for any Wigan first teamer who gets 'rested' today in favour of the

league. How many chances do footballers ever get to play in a cup final at Wembly? Not many over a career.

It's a huge gamble that they'll stay up. Imagine how you'd feel if you missed out on the FA cup and still got relegated?

If I was a Wigan fan right now, I'd want our strongest team to be playing too.
