Jesus H christ...someone find me a PNE fan with a good word for Etuhu!

I hate to throw cold water here, and I realise that when a player leaves, fans can be less than gracious (E.g. that useless c**t Francis!), but it seems the PNE fans will eb delighted to see the back of him.

The gist of 90% of the comments are "He only tries when it's contract time or a transfer window is coming up"

"Dickson clearly has a pattern it goes something like this.

Contract up for renewal tries for a few weeks to get a new one, then goes back to not trying at all.

Transfer window about to close, eg, early this season, tries in the hope of conning some other team out of obscene amounts of money, window closes goes back to hiding.

All of a sudden Dickson in the last 2 weeks starts trying again.
Could this be due to the window getting ready to open.

Who has ever given less than Dickson."

"I suppose there must be a Canary out their watching all these comments..

So heres mine my 50p's worth.
Dixon has always promised loads initially folks called him the "next Vierra" but he has never really fulfilled anything approaching that sort of potential. Every season he's been tipped to be this seasons star. He looks like a footballer.. he runs about like a footballer and did make an impact in the odd game and then would disappear from 20mins.. a hour.. a week.. a month.. most of the season. His nickname at Deepdale amongst some was Dixon Whereareyou ? A bit of an enigma really.

In fairness to him he has shown more this season than for the last two or three.. without ever really dominating.. so just maybe we are getting rid at the wrong time. But to be honest he isn't a regular first teamer any more and hasn't really been missed when he has been out. So a move is probably right for everyone, good luck to him anyway.. he probably score the winner against us now."

"i feel like all my chrismas' have come at once- and to think they're going to give US some money for him!

it's truly unbelievable!

no wonder worthy's nearly out of a job!"

Perhaps most tellingly

"Etuhu is a player who responds to the influence of other players. The reason he was so good when we first got him was that he was able to play with Gregan as a 'big brother' alongside him. When a player of that sort provides a lead then Etuhu can come good. People think that because of his size he is a dominating Gregan-type player. The whole point is that he is no such thing, but a supporting player who can take advantage of the space created by someone like Gregan. To put it another way Etuhu is another Mark Rankine (I mean in style not in commitment, an aspect in which Ranks of course was vastly superior). If Norwich have a hard-bitten trooper who can frighten Etuhu more than the opposition can then he could do things for them. Maybe Delia can have the right effect on him."

"I have no doubt he will start off like a house on fire at Norwich and then settle into mediocrity once he has a juicy contract."

Sorry for massive quotage, but it's a forum you either need to register for or use bugmenot!
