players playing out of their skin largely due to Lambert but also because it was all new / adrenalin etc

I'm also not that surprised lambert hasn't taken Villa higher. Him & us were just perfect - circumstances of the coming together and everything.

he's not s**t by any means but I don't see him as being a genius with another club
