I'm not intending to start a debate on who's gay and who isn't but it's interesting that at least two Premiership players are gay but won't come out for fear of people viewing them in a different way. I guess it's just the fact that football is seen as a macho 'man's' game. It's true what Alan Smith said: "You can get drunk and beat up your wife and that's quite acceptable, but if someone were to say 'I'm gay', it's considered awful. It's ridiculous."
