I voted at 7.01am today. Outside the hall taking voting card numbers was a friend from

school who I haven't seen since the day I left in May 1983.

Inside were two prims wearing cardies, crossing names out with a very sharp pencil and a ruler - one said the name and address to the other one and she did the precise line.
