I do think Hamilton could have turned it around having had the 1 or 2 million the club handed worthington
If you erase the players worthington sign with money you have the likes of
Heckinbottom
Briggs
Easton
Holt (good signing though)
Edworthy
Brennan
Would these types of players got us to the prem or the play offs?
It was signings like Drury, Rivers, Libra and Nielsen coming good that helped massively
Not to mention signing those on the back of Emblen costing a bomb and then being injured
A manager needs backing, and worthy has had tonnes of it, and this season (esp after some of the cock ups of last season) he has made a huge mess of it all on his own
That, in a way, outweighs any poor opinions people have of Hamilton. He didn't have the options, all he had was a past that the fans hated him for and was walking the tight rope as soon as he took the job
