we are up the creek minus the paddle at the minute.
Most want the manager to go,some blame the injuries, but does that mean we wont go up?
Maybe, but i bet palace fans were not thinking they would go up at this time of season when they won the playoffs.
No matter what happens in the backroom staff, players etc etc i think we are victim of one thing and one thing only, over acheiving and setting unrealistic standards.
Dont get me wrong, ive been a city fan since i was 10 so thats 14 and a bit years now and i love the club and would never support anyone else, but lets be honest, until the season we won the league,we were rubbish, not underacheiveing, rubbish.
We were not one of those sleeping giants, just a small team that had a few moments of glory like many other teams around the country at some point in their history.
Fair play to the boss, he got us up and we put up a bit of a fight at the end, but no club has a god given right to be in the premiership.
I thought we stood a good chance of going up, but never took if for granted and in the same way now that Everton fans are disillusioned, feeling that they should be gracing the higher echelons(sp) of the premiership after over acheiving last season. We have a fan base that suddenly feels that we turned into some amazing team over night and should be winning everything,no!
I want us to go up,i will back us all the way, but will never turn around and spin all the BS about how we deserve to be up there and all that.
Wigan....2nd in the premiership, they deserve to be there, because they won the bloody games.I bet if they finish mid-table their fans wont turn round and complain becuase they didnt finish in europe.
Lets get it together and start thinking more along the lines of a team that has the players that on their day can win a game and bring home 3 points, thats where it starts.
rant over
