Well in their day you were lucky to get two hours a night...

...what with the coal to wash and the grass to iron and all before you got up for breakfast and retarmacced the drive before cheerfully skipping seventeen miles to work singing Beverley Sisters songs a capella in harmony with your neighbours and colleagues before doing a twenty hour working day with only two minutes break for a nice cup of tea followed by a hearty stroll home before replastering the goldfish and talking about the sequence dancing at the weekend.

Only tell that to youngsters these days and they don't believe it.
