lessons for the Board

I suspect they are continuing to learn on the job. A few things for them to ponder for the future

1. Be very wary of offering managers long term contracts based on short term success. We should not be offering 5 year deals to anyone. A 1 year rolling contract should be the max for any manager.

2. If we were really offered ?7m for ashton should we have taken it. We could have Owen and Rooney up front but with no midfield supply whats the point. I suspect Ashtons value has now plummeted.
